Baraat to bidaai.
Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, and Nepali weddings — multi-day, multi-event, multi-cultural, multi-generation. Built for the full arc.
The full multi-day arc
South Asian weddings aren't single events; they're long-weekend productions. Mehndi, sangeet, haldi, baraat, ceremony, reception — and ideally a single venue handling all of it. World of Blue's 22 distinct event spaces let each ritual have its own room without the wedding spilling into hotel hallways.
Typical multi-day timeline: Thursday mehndi in the Skyline Ballroom (set as a lounge with hennaartists). Friday sangeet in the same room (set as a performance space with stage). Saturday baraat arrival at the main entrance, ceremony in Horizon, reception in Horizon (with the dance floor re-cleared post-dinner). Sunday brunch in Crossbar's private dining room.
Mandap, baraat entry, and the room shape
The Horizon Ballroom's 21-foot ceilings handle the most ornate mandap installations without limiting your decor vendor. Square layout means the mandap stays central and visible from every table; we routinely host mandaps with full corner pillars and a flower-canopy roof.
Baraat: the main entrance porte-cochère is designed for ceremonial vehicle arrivals — horse, vintage car, decorated SUV, all routine. The path from the porte-cochère through the lobby to the ballroom is wide enough for a full procession with dhol players, dancers, and family without anyone going single-file.
Catering — halal, vegetarian, regional
Halal-certified menus available on request. Our culinary team has built menus for Punjabi, Gujarati, Bengali, South Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, and Sri Lankan traditions — and routinely handles weddings combining two families' regional cuisines.
Halwai accommodations: for families bringing in their own halwai or specialty chef, we provide dedicated prep space, refrigeration, and venting. Coordinate with the events team at booking.
Vegetarian + Jain dietary requirements are standard, not an add-on. Pure-veg menus available across all events.
Sound, light, decor
Horizon and Skyline both have full theatrical lighting grids — uplighting, gobos, color-changing wash, programmable cues. Sound systems are commercial-grade. Live bands of any size welcome (we've hosted full 12-piece dhol ensembles and 60-piece classical orchestras).
Decor: bring your vendor, or we'll recommend partners we work with regularly. Vendor load-in begins 24 hours pre-event when needed; strike post-event runs the same.
