The drive
Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is approximately 14 miles south of World of Blue. Off-peak drive time is 20 minutes; weekday peak (5–7 PM) ranges 30–45 minutes depending on Turnpike conditions. Concierge can arrange private cars; we do not run a complimentary EWR shuttle.
From the airport: take 78 East to NJ Turnpike north to exit 16W → NJ-3 W → property is on the right.
From the property to EWR: reverse — Route 3 East to NJ Turnpike South to exit 14, follow signs to EWR. Allow 45 minutes door-to-gate during peaks.
Why pick us over an airport hotel
The airport-perimeter hotels around Newark exist to solve one problem: a bed near the terminal. That's a fair trade for a 6 AM flight, but if you have an evening arrival or a midday layover with even 6–8 hours, you can do better. Twenty minutes north puts you at a full-service luxury hotel with a real restaurant, a real bar, an indoor pool, a 24/7 concierge, and views — direct stadium-side or city-side — that the runway view can't compete with.
For business travelers landing into EWR for meetings in Midtown, we sit closer to your meeting than the Newark hotels do. 8 miles to the Lincoln Tunnel, 15 minutes to Midtown off-peak. If you're connecting on the Acela the next morning, Secaucus Junction is 6 miles away with Amtrak service straight to DC.
Long layovers
For 8+ hour layovers, World of Blue is the better choice than an airport hotel by every meaningful measure: better restaurants, a real city to walk into (across the highway is American Dream — 450 stores, indoor ski, indoor amusement park), and the option to actually sleep in a quiet hotel that doesn't have planes overhead.
Concierge can arrange round-trip car service to EWR for $80–120 each way; that's typically less than the price difference vs. the airport hotels once you factor in dining and parking.
