Black-tie. White glove.
Galas, fundraisers, awards dinners, benefit nights, and policy-shaping convenings. Built for organizations whose nights need to feel inevitable, not improvised.
Why galas pick the Horizon Ballroom
14,500 square feet, 1,200 plated guests, 21-foot ceilings, square column-free layout. The room is purpose-built for the awards-and-podium-and-band moment that defines almost every formal gala — the stage stays in sight of every seat without compromising the dance floor.
Theatrical lighting grid handles wash, gobos with sponsor logos, programmable cues for award presentations. Four-sided projection so honorees can see their own face on the back wall during the speech. Commercial-grade sound system that handles a 60-piece orchestra as comfortably as a single emcee.
For 501(c)(3) organizations
Many of the galas we host are run by 501(c)(3) nonprofits. We offer space-rental rates designed for fundraising economics — meaning the events team works alongside your development director on tier sponsorship packages, in-kind valuations, and silent / live auction logistics from the first call.
For benefit events with significant auction components: a dedicated registration desk, online auction integration (we work with Greater Giving, BiddingForGood, OneCause, etc.), display space for in-kind items, and AV cues for live-auction excitement.
Reception, dinner, dance, after-party
Standard gala arc: cocktail reception in the Horizon pre-function (1 hour, 1,200 guests easily), dinner in the Horizon (4 courses standard, 5 with intermezzo), program with awards and key remarks, dance floor opens 9:30 PM, after-party in The Speakeasy until 1 AM. Coatcheck, valet, photo wall, and step-and-repeat all stage in coordinated locations.
Out-of-town honorees and donors
For galas drawing honorees and major donors from out of town: room blocks on the property, with the option to buy out the Blue View collection (stadium-side rooms) for VIPs. Concierge handles transportation arrangements, day-after city access (we're 15 minutes from Midtown), and any pre-event programming on property.
